Google's New Operating System Chrome Announced
Google announced late Tuesday night that they will be releasing a new operating system named after their successful internet browser Chrome. The new operating system is primarily design for netbooks and other low end computing systems.
The new Chrome OS will run in a new windowing system and utilize a Linux kernel. Google intends to rely on help from the open source programming community to develop the Chrome operating system, which is expected to begin running computers in the second half of 2010.
